O.R.P. per l'Incontro Internazionale dei Sacerdoti

A tutti i sacerdoti

Si aprirà il 9 giugno 2010, a Roma, presso la Basilica di San Paolo fuori le Mura, l'Incontro Internazionale dei Sacerdoti, indetto S.S. Benedetto XVI  a chiusura dell’Anno Sacerdotale aperto lo scorso 19 giugno in occasione della Festa del Sacro Cuore e della Giornata Mondiale di preghiera per la santificazione dei sacerdoti.

L’evento, promosso dalla Congregazione per il Clero ed affidato per l’organizzazione tecnico-logistica all’Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi, si pone in continuità con i precedenti Incontri Internazionali del Clero che,  tra il 1996 ed il 2004, si sono svolti a Fatima (Portogallo), Yamoussoukro (Costa d’Avorio), Guadalupe (Messico), Nazareth, Betlemme e Gerusalemme (Terra Santa), Roma (in occasione del Grande Giubileo del 2000) ed, infine, Malta.
 
L'Incontro Internazionale dei Sacerdoti approda ora di nuovo a Roma, cuore della cristianità, con il tema di “Fedeltà di Cristo, fedeltà del sacerdote”.
 
L’Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi sarà lieta di poter contare sulla sua presenza anche in questa occasione, certa che camminare insieme per Roma Cristiana, riuscirà a rendere il messaggio e l’esperienza dell’Incontro più forti, più significativi, più profondi.

Message for all priests

Pope Benedict XVI has announced that the International Conference of Priests will begin on June 9, 2010 in Rome, at the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. This event will celebrate the closing of the Year for Priests, which began on June 19, 2009 the Feast of the Sacred Heart and World Day of Prayer for the sanctification of priests.

The event, sponsored by the Congregation for the Clergy and supported by the organizational and technical logistics of Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi, is a continuation of previous international gatherings of the clergy which, from 1996 to 2004, took place in Fatima (Portugal), Yamoussoukro (Ivory Coast), Guadalupe (Mexico), Nazareth, Bethlehem and Jerusalem (Holy Land), Rome (during the Great Jubilee of 2000) and, finally, in Malta.

The conference, which calls the faithful to Rome, the heart of Christendom, will have the theme "Faithfulness of Christ, Faithfulness of Priests".

Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi is pleased to provide support for this event so that the message of Christ may be more meaningful and more profound through the experience of those who gather together in Rome.
